What does "Interactive Reporting" and "Drillthrough" mean?

While working with tables and lists is more of a static, point-by-point approach, BI reporting allows you to drill deeper into the data to investigate any discrepancies or anomalies. This active work with evaluations is also referred to as interactive or dynamic reporting.

A deviation or anomaly in a certain category can simply be clicked on and the displayed values are automatically filtered according to this category. This deeper dive into evaluation areas is called drillthrough.
